EMR + Social Media = A Good Idea?

The emergence of social media as a steadily expanding influence in EMR use opens potentially newer and wider venues and justifications for its use

The promise of EMR has slowed as the deadlines near for proof of its use and for its relevancy in our daily lives.  Even the prospect of financial incentives to adopt EMRs have not significantly removed all of the obstacles to total adoption by physicians and their patients. What might be possible? Would it be possible to meld the two together. This story will be a continuing one as both EMR and social media mature.

In the last day, Kevin Pho MD ‘s blog post on this subject has stimulated much discussion on Twitter and the Internet. For convenience, you may use this shortened URL http://wp.me/p18zjA-3a
